Barbara Bersche

About Barbara

Barb is the former president and a current partner of McSweeney's Publishing. She's also a founding Board member of 826 Valencia and can lay claim to having constructed the country's best-loved independent pirate supply store from the ground up. Since branching away in 2009 to focus on her own business, Barb has been a designer, writer, and consultant to other creative agencies and nonprofits. She recently designed and packaged a 10-CD box set about Haiti with the Library of Congress and her husband (SF native David Katznelson) and looks forward to future collaborations with her honey. Barb is a member of the Marin County Search and Rescue / Mountain Rescue team, as well as the San Francisco Appreciation Society. She loves walking through Golden Gate Park with her dog Wile E.
