Gig: Northwest Territory Manager for Lomography, Gallery Store Director San Francisco
What are you up to these days? I opened the flagship Lomography San Francisco Gallery Store in Union Square -hallelujah! I'm slowly acquiring furniture for the new apartment, and trying to write about things I like.
What event will we find you at this week? Tonight it's all about Lomography's free mixer "Blue Hour." it's a great excuse to have a beer and check out the Store. There is also a new gallery opening on Valencia called Carte Blanche featuring local photographers. Oh, and I will have to hit up Indie Mart for some last-minute holiday shopping.
What's your favorite SF institution? The vintage F Market trains. Sometimes, I'll just ride the line taking photos. My personal favorite is the orange Milan car, hands down.
Where's your go-to date place? I'm a big fan of the picnic. On a beautiful day, some treats from Tartine and a 40 ounce is a great way to start things off. And SFMOMA never disappoints. Of course, I am open to other options.
What's your favorite under-the-radar SF restaurant? Kama Sushi over in Noe is killer. Amazing food, reasonable pricing, and a genuine interest in their customers and service.
What would you change about SF? Rent. Uuuuuugh.
