What are you up to these days? Pull ups, sit ups.
Where would you have your last meal on earth? The gas station on 17th and South Van Ness. It has fried chicken and these things called "jojos".
Where do you get your local gossip? CELLYBRAIN, it's past present and future all in one.
Who's your favorite quintessential local character? There's this older Mexican man who back in the day must have been a smooth dude. Up until recently, he'd draw UFOs, aliens, NASA space shuttles, clock faces, and portals all over 24th Street along with weird text in Spanglish. The cops told him to stop drawing in pen, so he started using chalk and pencils. Then they told him to stop drawing on walls, so he'd draw on cardboard and leave it everywhere. I have some of his cardboard pieces. I call him "Clocs" because he used to write that on his drawings. I like to think he's ex-CIA, not necessarily an agent, but maybe he was in the MK-ULTRA mind control program because he tells so many detailed stories of UFOs at Candlestick Park, comets returning to earth, etc. Maybe he's just a lost time traveller. I haven't seen him draw in a long time, but I still see him out and about, wearing all black, singing loudly, walking briskly in the streets.
Why do you love your neighborhood? So many characters, so little time.
What local merchant have you been meaning to check out? Glass key photo. I've been there, but recently heard they've expanded, which is exciting.
