What are you up to these days? This minute, I am working on a cool series of textural paintings inspired by Indigenous ritual dancers. I also have four handmade eco-fabulous wedding gowns I’m making this year, and I am starting a brand new local and sustainable fashion line with one of my best friends. Oh, and I’m planning my perfect DIY Bay Area wedding for next summer!
What
event will we find you at next week?
I’ll be at my Open Studios art show on Friday night and throughout the weekend
at Secession Art and Design, followed by yummy tequila drinks at the new El
Amigo next door!
Where would you have your last meal on earth? Most definitely Jardiniere, starting with the sparkling rose, duck confit salad, and the scallops with lobster, then moving on to the lamb dish and copious
amounts of wine. And hell, since it’s my last meal, let’s throw my dairy
allergy out the window and finish with a cheese plate and the chocolate cake!
Where do you get your local gossip? The Bold Italic, of course! But also Mission Local for the neighborhood scoop,
SF Indie Fashion for all stylish happenings, and the rest I hear about from my
always-in-the-know circle of friends.
Where's your go-to date place? My fiancé and I love to sneak over to Delfina after the waitlist has died down and sit in the bar. We devour the Tartine bread, the insalata de campo, and the fact that the staff knows us well enough to recommend new music and weekend getaways.
What's your favorite under-the-radar SF restaurant? Mr. Pollo, the black-box hole-in-the-wall on Mission where you can get a gourmet, farm-fresh four-course tasting menu for $15. Shhhhhh……
What do you get obsessive about here in SF? I am a lil’ obsessed with bartering artwork for lots of cool goodies and services: haircuts, acupuncture, jewelry, my wedding catering….
