Neighborhood: Noe Valley

Gig: Executive Editor, Once Magazine

What are you up to these days? Trying to establish a monthly iPad publication. Turns out that task is harder than you might think. We made a magazine and now realize we've got to try keeping it around. Tricky business.

SF is... for sailing.

Where would you have your last meal on earth? I'd probably choose a sunny day, get a sandwich from Bi-Rite, and eat it in Dolores Park.

Who's your favorite quintessential local character? The bearded man who is always at The Homestead. Because he is always there.

Where do you go to relax and get away from it all? Rooftops.

What's your favorite San Francisco institution? Chanty sing-a-longs at the Hyde Street Pier.

What local merchant have you been meaning to check out? Doc's of the Bay. It's a new food truck that is supposed to be off the charts.

What would you change about San Francisco? I'd give it real seasons.
