is a beautiful work in lurching progress
Neighborhood: Western Addition
Gig: Land-Based Cruise Director for Frugal Travelers
Where does everybody know your name? Everyone knows my name at Harvey’s in the Castro, where I enact my compulsive Wednesday ritual of comic book and mimosa consumption.
Where do you get your city gossip? Usually from SFist, though I’m beginning to think they may have a left leaning bias…
What's your go-to date place? Twin Peaks Tavern is lovely for first dates; dark lighting to hide acne scars, cheap drinks to facilitate conversation, and a “fun” balcony.
Why do you love your neighborhood? Cheap rent and cheesesteak adjacent.
If you can change one thing about San Francisco, what would it be? The Castro is no longer a financially viable place for a majority of younger people to call home, which is sad considering the neighborhood’s place in history as a shelter and beacon for the country’s queer youth.
