Where would you have your last meal on earth? A bowl of ramen from Genki Ramen in the Inner Richmond. This spot has amazing varieties of ramen and it's inexpensive. Some of the ramen bowls are so delicious they make you wonder how the hell they're doing it.
Where do you get your local gossip? I frequently read Grub Street. I also eavesdrop as much as possible.
Where's your go-to date place? I prefer small dive bars that are dimly lit so my date doesn't stare at my big forehead. I like the modest vibe of those kinds of places. On the other hand, I think Rye is a cool bar because it feels fancy but not in a flashy, show-boating way.
Where's your secret spot? Corona Heights Park. I love the view and watching the fog roll in. I guess it's secret because it's just never really crowded.
Where do you go to relax and get away from it all? I go to friends' houses that have yards and just chill, tell stories, and drink beer. I don’t have a yard. I'm either in my tiny apartment, or my tiny office, or at a crowded bar or restaurant, so I cherish yards.
What's your favorite under-the-radar SF restaurant? Golden Coffee Shop. It's an old school greasy spoon in the Tenderloin. It's very unassuming, very '90s, and I just love the feel and the price. It's never a commitment. It also brings up feelings of nostalgia because it reminds me of the places I'd kill time in back in 7th grade when I was cutting class. Yes, I was that bad ass.
What's next for you in your personal world? I'll find a life mate who thinks I'm witty and laughs at all my jokes. We'll have babies and give them obscure names.
