Where does everybody know your name? I spend an embarrassing amount of time dancing, going to shows, and singing karaoke at the Knockout.
Where do you get your city gossip? The Bay Citizen is a great independent news source and you should give them your money.
Who's your favorite quintessential local character? Andrew McKinley, the sweetest man living and keeper of magic at Adobe Books.
Why do you love your neighborhood? Green Earth Natural Foods, Waziema's all-you-can-eat vegetarian Ethiopian food (more good food in dive bars, please), lunch in the sunshine at Bean Bag Cafe, rare windless days in Alamo Square Park, and being able to walk anywhere in the city in 30 minutes.
What local merchant have you been meaning to check out? I've really been wanting to get to Aria Antiques in North Beach since I saw the story by Eloise Porter .
What's the question you wish we asked? What are you reading?
