Bryan Duquette Impresario

always has your miracle

Duquette

Neighborhood: NOPA

Gig: Tastemaker, Another Planet Entertainment

SF is... a closet beach town.

What are you up to these days? First year of marriage, fourth year of Outside Lands, fifth year of Treasure Island, and the eighth year of The Independent.

Where's your go-to date place? Anything but a show. Magnolia Pub & Brewery in the Haight is where I took my wife on our first date.  That will always be a go-to.

Why do you love your neighborhood?  It’s literally and figuratively the heart of the city... right in the middle between downtown and the beach.  NOPA is also very diverse with a little Haight, Western Addition, Pacific Heights, and Mission all thrown together.

What local merchant have you been meaning to check out? Woodshop. I have always been inspired by the art collective’s work, but I have never been to the space. I am a huge fan of Jeff Canham. He has done numerous design projects for us at Another Planet Entertainment.

What event will we find you at this week? The 5th annual Treasure Island Music Festival.
