What event will we find you at this week? I'm having a record release show tonight (Feb. 8) at the fifth FolkYeah Winter Residency at Slim's. (I recently released my debut Big Eagle album, Willow Creek, which you can find here.) I'll be performing along with Ariella Daly, Jason Simon (of Dead Meadow), Farmer Dave Scher, and Jeffertitti's Nile. Get there early; show starts at 8!
What's your most embarrassing SF moment? Probably when I was 16 and I first moved here from Humboldt. I kept getting lost on Van Ness trying to get to Haight Street. I was so embarrassed that I faked an English accent. By the third person I had to ask out the car window, I finally got directions. They took pity and told me they'd ride with me to go there. Why do you love your neighborhood? The Dogpatch is the best! It's quiet, un-city like, and you can walk to amazing food, drink your way to the Ferry Building for the farmers' market on Saturdays, and stop at The Ramp for burgers on the way home. Also, PARKING!
What's your secret spot in town? Really? Ok. The Goodwill in Bayview. Get ready.
Where do you go to relax and get away from it all?
Lands End trail, Kabuki Springs & Spa, Saturday morning coffee and cinnamon toast at Trouble Coffee Company, then a mental unwind on Ocean Beach.
