Neighborhood: The Mission

Gig: Owner Operator, La Victoria Bakery

SF is... my birth city; the place I tell everyone to come and live. It's expensive and it can be frustrating at times, but we've got The Giants!

What's your go-to date place? Your perfect date place is within. If things click, you might go to El Rio for mezcal shots.... or walk over to Bi-Rite for ice cream. Prefer to sit down? Universal Cafe.

What's your favorite San Francisco institution (i.e., character, food cart, museum, landmark)? I get a really warm and fuzzy feeling when I go to Suppenkuche. Is that place an institution yet?

Where do you go to relax and get away from it all? Nob Hill Spa. If you're gonna pay, you might as well go all out. Believe it or not, I really just like to catch a good movie as a getaway, like the first time I saw The Red Violin.

What's your most embarrassing SF moment? Natives don't get embarrassed.
