About Marcia

I moved to San FranDisco in 1994, and I still have the memories of dancing at warehouse parties and eating at the Flying Saucer to prove it. I’ve done a lot of jobs here: valet parking; working in advertising; throwing happy hours, disco brunches, and late-night parties; writing tours of the city; and since 2002, writing about my big love (food). Most people know me as “the tablehopper,” an apt handle since I’m on the town five or six nights a week. I love people, the smell of pizza when someone walks by with it in a box, deep crates of disco, Champagne, fast cars, bass, the fog, and bourbon.
