Shawn was schooled at Antioch College, where he internalized the school motto, "Be ashamed to die until you have won some victory for humanity." He is ashamed of little else. An idealist with a mischievous streak, he had been a rock and roll roadie, a writer, and has been known to rouse the rabble. An atheist who has restored several churches, Shawn is not afraid of the ironic contradictions that life can pitch your way.
