About Drew
Drew Himmelstein is a disaffected Angelina with a New English heart who feels right at home in San Francisco even though the state of California often gives her fits. As she waits to be selected as a representative to the hoped-for California Constitutional Convention of 2011, she passes her time writing and reporting about good stuff like religion, the environment and childhood for websites, magazines and public radio. Her work has appeared in the San Francisco Chronicle and Dwell magazine and has aired on NPR, the California Report, and Crosscurrents. She also blogs about the 3,000-year-old question of what to eat at The Jew and the Carrot. In her spare time she likes to go the movies, and she bakes a mean challah.
