Katie Baker grew up in Los Angeles and has lived in the Bay Area since 2005. She likes it better up here, even though she still thinks she might be too much of a cynical asshole for San Francisco.

When she's not working (at the SF Chronicle), you can find her typing furiously (people often stop and ask her why/how she types so quickly. She does not like this, FYI) and drinking too much coffee at her favorite cafes around the city. You might also find her eating ridiculous amounts of cheese while reading in the park, or in any bar that has a good jukebox, cheap drinks, and free snacks.
