About Chrissy

Chrissy Loader was born under a bright star near the Sacramento River, was schooled near a Top Dog in Berkeley, and has spent most of her adult life in and around San Francisco’s eclectic array of music venues and dining establishments. She’s an urban hiker, a photograph taker, and a story maker. She likes nothing better than planning dinner party festivities that include a luscious soufflé, silly bibs or hats, and raucous parlor games. She’s been a cake decorator, an undercover drug agent, a college English instructor, and a tour manager for a nationally touring band. These days, she writes about food and pop culture for local arts papers and works day shifts as a writer for a corporate behemoth. She’s currently plotting her next vacation to a former communist country. Until then, she’s living la viva loca.
